New Beginnings

Have you ever seen how a new clothing store comes together? If you have then your super cool (lol) but if you haven't don't fret because today I'm going to take you behind the scenes of my new job and show you a day in the life of a visual merchandiser!

This is the entry way to the clothing store I work for called Heavenly Couture. This is a picture of it at the beginning of the day when I first walked in to work. As you can see right now none of the mannequins are dressed but that's only the start of what would end up being a tedious but rewarding task.

The store was huge and amazing. The previous day the other merchandising girls had worked on the shoe wall which is so overwhelming. Getting the store ready for the opening the next day was going to take a lot of work.

THE TOP 5 THINGS TO-DO:
1. Unpack and hang all the new inventory and place it in the correct theme
2. Put all the "BASICS" which are camisoles, bandeaus, and leggings out
3. Make sure all the jewelry was hung and presentable
4. Stuff all handbags and put up all sunglasses on the rack
 5. Dress and design outfits for all the mannequins and faceouts (MY FAVORITE ONE)

Beautify

HAIR CARE   This week for my beautify segment I decided to deal with hair! This article will tell you just what products can help you maintain manageable hair for an easy back-to-school transition. My hair is really thick, curly, and wavy, so as you can imagine it is a hassle to deal with. I have tried so many products but nothing has worked better the Herbal Essences. I love it so much but of course like everything I have my favorites. Here are my favorite ones:       Nothing is ever better than the original and Herbal Essences "Hello Hydration" always does the trick when it comes to making my hair go from dry and "poofy" to slick and soft!           I also have very long hair so I love to use Herbal Essences "Long Term Relationship" to condition my hair from head-to-toe! It makes sure every part of my hair is smooth and silky as well as takes care of my split ends.       SHHHH......

Real vs. Steal

Have you ever bought something at top price like a Michael Kors watch and then found that same looking watch for like $20. How did that make you feel? Were you mad you wasted all that money? If, so that is the goal of this themed article, to search for the cheaper version of an item and to find top price items for less. Ok so today I was introduced to this really cute lip balm. It had a really pretty neutral bronze colored casing and a clearing stick of lip balm with SPF 15. It was so cute it was one of those things I felt I just needed to have. Little did I know there was a whole collection or set of different colored lip balms and casings. So as I continued in my research to my disappointment I found that this lip balm with is called SUGAR was $22 at Sephora. Tell me what you think.....don't you think they are adorable? Anyways so I was really sad because I didn't want to spend $22 hard earned dollars on a lip balm. Yes a lip balm as in one. Then...
